Dynamic Doppler (DD1) Scenario

Dynamic Doppler (DD1)  scenario

  • A dynamic outdoor scenario of three streets and two intersections
  • The main horizontal street has 4 lanes (2 in each direction) of mobile vehicles
  • The vehicles change their positions with every scene out of 2000 captured scenes!
  • Four static BS are deployed along the main horizontal street
  • Each UE antenna is attached to the top of each moving vehicle!
  • The Doppler velocity is available for all BS-BS and BS-UE channels!
  • The scenes are continuously sampled from the scenario with 100 ms sampling interval
  • Datasets are available at operating frequencies 28 GHz

Key components

  • Four base stations (BSs) deployed along the main horizontal street: BS1, BS2, BS3, BS4
    • BS1 coordinates are (7,14,4.5) m
    • BS2 coordinates are (130,-14,4.5) m
    • BS3 coordinates are (10,-14,4.5) m
    • BS3 coordinates are (190,14,4.5) m
  • Each antenna array element at each BS is an isotropic antenna
  • The positions of the BSs are fixed across all 2000 scenes
  • User antenna elements are attached to the top of all moving vehicles (user)
  • The position and velocity of the user vehicles (the traffic) model complex traffic patterns
    • The vehicles change their positions and velocities with every scene out of 2000 captured scenes
    • The user vehicle accelerates/decelerates due to the traffic lights
    • The user vehicle may change lanes to overtake
  • The number and positions of user antennas vary in different scenes
  • Each antenna array element at each user is an isotropic antenna
  • The main street (the horizontal one) is 430 m long and 15 m wide
  • The main street has 4 lanes (2 in each direction) of mobile vehicles
  • Each of the two cross streets (the vertical ones) is 215 m long and 15 m wide
  • Each sidewalk is 10 m wide
  • The three streets have buildings/houses on both sides
  • Each channel path can undergo a maximum of 2 reflections and 1 diffuse scattering before reaching the receiver
  • The Doppler velocity and acceleration are available for all propagation paths of all BS-BS and BS-UE channels
  • The Doppler velocity and acceleration capture the effects of the vehicle velocity/acceleration, propagation path direction, and reflector/scatter mobility for multi-bounce paths
