I3 (Indoor 3) Scenario
I3 scenario
- An indoor conference room scenario
- A 10 m x 11 m x 3 m conference room with its hallways
- Two access points inside the conference room at 2 m height
- More than 118 thousand candidate users in LOS and NLOS conditions
- Datasets are available at operating frequencies 2.4 GHz and 60 GHz
Key components
- Two access points or base stations (BSs): BS1 and BS2
- Each antenna array element at each BS is an isotropic antenna
- The BSs are mounted on 2 m height on opposing walls
- 9.67 m separation between the BSs
- BS1 is on the right side of the room in Figure 1
- BS2 is on the left side of the room in Figure 1
- Two uniform x-y user grids (UGs): UG1 and UG2
- Total number of users = 118,959 users
- The first user in every user grid is always the user with the lowest (x,y) coordinate
- Each antenna array element at each user is an isotropic antenna
- First user grid (UG1)
- Named “LOS user grid”
- Located between the two tables with a length of 5.5 m and width of 1.2 m
- The height of this user grid is 60 cm
- Accessed from Row 1 to Row 551 (551 rows in total)
- 121 users per row (121 users with the same y coordinate)
- 1 cm spacing between adjacent users
- Number of users in UG1 = 66,671 users
- Second user grid (UG2)
- Named “NLOS user grid”
- Located outside the conference room with a length of 8.5 m and a width of 1.2 m
- The height of this user grid is 1 m
- Accessed from Row 552 to Row 1159 (608 rows in total)
- 86 users per row (86 users with the same y coordinate)
- 1.4 cm spacing between adjacent users
- Number of users in UG2 = 52,288 users
- The room dimensions are 10 m x 11 m x 3 m
- The 8 human models are 1.8 m in height
- Each one of the two conference tables is 5.6 m in length and 1.4 m in width
- The southern door opening in Figure 1 is 3 m in width
- The Northeastern door opening in Figure 1 is 2 m in width
- As for the propagation model, each channel path can undergo a maximum of 2 reflections and 1 transmission before reaching the receiver.
